Quattro has posted on their website that the firm has been purchased by Apple and its CEO Andy Miller will now work as Vice President, Mobile Advertising for Apple. Apple’s spokesman Steve Dowling confirmed this news by saying “ We look forward to developing exciting new opportunities that will benefit Quattro Wireless customers in the future.”

Andy Miller wrote Quattro’s website:

Analysts believe that Apple bought Quattro as a defensive move to fend off  its rival like Google. And offer advertising flexibility not only on App Store, but also on mobile websites specifically designed for devices like iPhone. However, analysts also believe that this purchase will become more offensive move once the tablet is launch later this month, as tablet would gives Apple a second crack at mobile advertising.
