Sharp unveils three new AQUOS LED LCD TV series featuring next generation UltraBrilliant Edge – lit LED backlighting technology. Sharp also introduced industries first four-primary-color technology that enables more than a trillion colors to be displayed. The four-primary-color-display employs a four-color filter that adds the color Y (yellow) to the three colors of R (red), G (green), and B (Blue). This combination expands the color gamut, rendering nearly all colors that can be discerned with the unaided human eye. The four-primary-color technology will be available in Sharp’s top of the line LE920 series later this year. The three new AQUOS LED HDTV series that sharp introduced at CES included LE920, LE820 and LE810. The LE920 series will come in sizes ranging from 52-inch to 68-inch and feature Full HD 1080p X-Gen LCD panel, UltraBrilliant Edge – lit LED backlight and AquoMotion 240 Hz. Sharp hasn’t announced pricing for LE920 series, but the HDTVs will ship in May 2010. The LE820 and LE810 series will feature Sharp's 1080p X-Gen LCD panel with an UltraBrilliant Edge-lit LED backlight same as LE920 series, but they will support AquoMotion 120Hz Fine Motion technology. Both the series will be available in March and will include the following models:
