Samsung Introduces Five New Handsets Under Shark and Diva Range

Samsung has introduced three handsets under new Shark series that includes candybar Shark S5350 and two sliders Shark 2 S5550 and Shark 3 S3550. The second series that Samsung introduced today is called Diva, and it includes Diva S7070 along with folder Diva S 5150. Both the Diva handsets are aimed at “fashionable women” according to Samsung.

Samsung Shark 3 S3550 will come with 2-inch QVGA screen, 2-megapixel camera, quad band GSM/EDGE, 35MB internal memory, Bluetooth 2.1 and microSD card slot. Battery life on the phone will be 450 minutes talk time and 430 hours standby.

The second Shark phone S5350 will have 2.2-inch screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, quad band GSM/EDGE, dual band HSDPA, Bluetooth, 100MB internal memory and microSD card slot. Talk time on the phone will be 190 minutes for 3G, 620 minutes for 2G and 450 hours standby.

The top of the line Shark 2 S5550 will have 2.2-inch QVGA AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, quad band GSM/EDGE, dual band HSDPA, Bluetooth, 110MB internal memory and microSD card slot. The phone will offer 5.25 hours of 3G talk time and 412 hours of standby time.

The first phone in the Diva collection is S5150 that will feature 2.2-inch screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, tri band GSM/EDGE, video recording, Bluetooth, 40MB internal memory and microSD card slot. The phone measures 47 x 94 x 17.4 mm and has 7 hours talk time with 470 hours standby.

The second Diva handset S7070 will have 2.8-inch screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, tri band GSM/EDGE, 40MB internal memory, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. It will measure 101 x 54.8 x 13.4 and offer 10 hours of talk time on single charge. Both the Diva phones will have Beauty Effect camera setting to take personal shots.

Both the Shark and Diva series will ship in January 2010 in Europe. No word on price yet.
