AVI Securities’ Matt Thornton wrote in a research note that Apple tablet is “in full production” and Apple’s NAND flash chip requirements may be increasing because of the tablet. Matt believes that Apple tablet will aim for E-books, e-magazines, e-readers and will be much more multimedia centric, as opposed to mobile-communications centric or mobile-productivity centric.

“The Apple tablet information comes from a maker of components going into the Apple tablet,” said Matt Thornton. “It’s been in the supply chain for a while and entered full production this month. A couple of suppliers actually had weaker Decembers that than they would have expected because production was pushed back a little bit.

AVI Securities expects full-scale production of the tablet in Q1, with annual shipments reaching 10 million units, which would increase Apple’s NAND flash requirements further.

Rumors are that Apple is planning an event for last week of this month where they will officially introduce the new tablet. And from sudden explosion in rumors related to Apple tablet it looks like we will see the tablet soon.
