Sanyo Introduces Five New Xacti High-Definition Camcorders

Sanyo today added five new HD capable Xacti camcorders to its 2009 lineup. The first in line is Xacti HDX-2000 that will come in gold and black color options and will take 8-megapixel stills. The second camcorder is Xacti DMX-FH11 that will have a traditional Camcorder form-factor and 8GB on onboard flash memory.
Both the camcorders will capture 1080p video at 60 frames per second, have 10X optical zoom, low-resolution slow motion mode and new reverse sequential shot mode. The HDX-2000 will ship on 6th February and the DMX-FH11 will ship on 24th April.
Sanyo has also added two waterproof camcorders that will capture video at 720p. The Xacti DMX-WH1 is a horizontal camcorder that can withstand up to 3m-water depth and has 30x optical zoom. Whereas the DMX-CA9 can be submerged to 1.5m and has 5X optical zoom. Both the camcorders will capture 9-megapixel images and use SDHC card for storage. The WH1 will ship on 19th March and the CA9 will ship on 13th March.
The last camcorder in the lineup is HDX-CG10 that will feature 720p video capture and 8-megapixel image capture. Sanyo says that the CG10 is 2.5 percent smaller and 10 percent lighter than smallest-ever Xacti HD camera and it will ship on 20th February. There is not pricing information available and all the release dates are for Japan only. Sanyo hasn’t announced international shipping dates yet.
