Dell has started shipping their new 27-inch UltraSharp U2711 monitor that offers 2560 x 1440 resolution and 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The new display is based on high end IPS (In-Plane Switching) LCD panel similar to the one used in new iMacs. The 16:9 widescreen display features 12-bit internal processing, 100% sRGB color reproduction, and factory-tuned Adobe RGB and sRGB modes. Ports available on the monitor include HDMI, two DVI-D, DisplayPort, VGA, Component Video, Composite Video, four USB and media card reader.
