HP has announced their first Smartbook (netbook based on ARM processor) Compaq Airlife 100 that features 10.1-inch touchscreen and integrated 3G support. HP didn’t provide any information about the processor, but it is believed that the smartbook is based on 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chip. Other features on the Airlife 100 are 16GB SSD, WiFi, Bluetooth, webcam and SD card slot. The battery life is rated at 12 hours of continuous use and 10 days of standby. Compaq Airlife 100 uses Android OS, but HP has loaded their own touchscreen UI on the smartbook. HP Compaq Airlife 100 will ship in Europe this spring no word on price yet.
