Sony Ericsson today announced Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro, compact versions of Xperia X10 Android based smartphone. Main features of both the phones are 2.55-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 600MHz qualcomm MSM7227 processor, 128MB phone memory, quad-band GSM/EDGE, tri band HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth and microSD card slot (2GB card included).

Both the phone are based on Android 1.6 and come with Google services like Android Market, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search, Google Talk, Google Voice Search and YouTube. The phones will also come with Sony’s Timescape and Mediascape applications, along with Microsoft ActiveSync support. The main difference between the two phones is that Xperia X10 mini is a candybar touchscreen phone, whereas X10 mini pro features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Xperia X10 mini will ship in pearl white, black, pink, lime, red and silver colors, whereas Xperia X10 mini pro will ship in black and red colors. Both the phones will be available in Q2 2010.
