Taiwanese website Apple.pro started the day with news that Apple is testing three different iPhone 5 prototypes. Out of the three prototypes, one even has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The other two are just hardware improvements over current model with faster processor, more battery life and an 8-megapixel camera. The website says anyone of the three models can come to the market.

In other iPhone 5 related news, Digitimes is reporting that the production lines for iPhone 5 have begun testing and Apple is interested in using 4-inch screen size also. Apple has stayed away from bigger screen sizes because of lower battery life issues. However, with recent development in LCD screen technology power requirement has gone down considerably, which might allow Apple to use bigger screen on next generation iPhone.

Digitimes is also reporting that Apple is looking to outsource the production of its A4 processor as well as next generation ARM Cortex A9 based A5 processor to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). Till now Samsung has been the sole processor manufacturer for Apple. But recently Apple started giving TSMC orders for A4 chip manufacturing to test their production capability and meet every increasing iPhone and iPad demand. According to DigiTimes, TSMC might become the exclusive manufacturer of the A5 processor that will power the next generation iPhone 5.
