Tablets are the hot new product in computer industry after Apple iPad launch. Following the trend, OpenPeak has introduced OpenTablet 7 – Linux device based on Intel Atom Moorestown processor. OpenTablet 7comes with 7-inch LED backlit LCD, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth and 3G support. The touchscreen supports multitouch inputs and there is a microSD card slot to expand the limited 2GB onboard memory. The sleek looking device measures 9” x 5” x 0.59” and weighs 1.15 pounds. It comes with full Adobe Flash support and can run applications developed with Flash. No word on pricing or availability of OpenTablet 7, but we can guess that it should come to the market in second half of this year, when Intel starts volume shipment of Moorestown CPUs.
