PMA 2010: Samsung Introduces Four new Cameras and Two New Ultra-Compact CamcordersSubmitted by lalit on February 22, 2010 - 9:59pm.
At PMA 2010, Samsung added two new cameras to their TL-series, two durable cameras in SL and AQ-series and two ultra-compact high-definition budget camcorders to HMX-series. The two TL-series cameras are TL500 and TL350. The top-of-the-line TL500 comes with 10-megapixel high sensitivity CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom, F/1.8 ultra-wide lens, 3-inch swiveling AMOLED screen, 640 x 480 movie mode, dual image stabilization, manual controls A/S/M and RAW support.
The two new durable cameras introduced are AQ100 and SL605. Samsung AQ100 is a compact waterproof up to 10 feet camera that comes with 12-megapixel sensor, 2.7-inch screen, 5x optical zoom, 720p movie mode, various shooting modes, Smart Filter for lens and color effect, Smart Auto and Smart Album. Samsung SL605 is slightly rugged camera with scratchproof casing and rubberized bumpers. It features 12-megpixel sensor, 5x optical zoom 2.7-inch screen, VGA movie mode, Smart Night mode, Smart Auto and Smart Album. Both cameras will again ship in Spring 2010 priced $199.99 for AQ100 and $129.99 for SL605.
The last in Samsung’s lineup announced at PMA 2010 were two budget ultra-compact HD camcorders HMX-U20 and HMX-U15. Both the cameras feature 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor, 2-inch LCD screen, Hyper Digital Image Stabilization, 1080p video recording, one-touch YouTube upload, H.264 video format and SDHC card slot. The differences between the two cameras are HMX-U15 comes with 1x optical zoom and 14-megapixel stills, whereas HMX-U20 has 3x Optical zoon and 10-megapixel still image support. Both the cameras will ship in Spring 2010 priced $229.99 for HMX-U15 and $249.99 for HMX-U20.
