At CES 2009, MSI showed the first X-Slim 320 laptop that copied the MacBook Air like design, but X320 was thicker and slightly heavier than the Air. Though the first model hasn’t been released yet, the company has added two more models X600 and X340 to the X-Slim lineup.
The X-Slim X600 features a 15.6-inch screen with 16:9 aspect ratio, three USB, one eSATA, VGA, HDMI, Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth. The laptop will be based on Centrino 2 platform and weigh only 2kg (4.4 pounds), making it one of the lightest 15-inch laptop on the market.
The second laptop X340 has a slightly (0.1-inch) bigger screen than previously announced X320 model. The 13.4-inch X340 will have two USB ports, VGA and HDMI output. Like the big brother X600, it will also be based on Centrino 2 platform and have 16:9 aspect ratio screen.
Both the laptops will be formally announced at Cebit 2009 in March. No word on pricing or availability, but it is believed that the laptops will have a starting price range of $699 to $999.
