Intel will add two new ultra low voltage CPUs to its ultra-thin notebook products by end of March. Both the CPUs will be part of consumer ultra low voltage platform (CULV) that is aimed at thin notebooks in price range of  $699 to $899.
The first of the two processors is Core 2 Duo SU9600 with 1.6GHz processor speed and $289 price tag. The second processor is Core 2 Solo SU3500 that works a 1.4GHz speed and will be priced $262. The two processors will join the SU9400, SU9300, SU3300 and Celeron 723 under CULV product line. Like the other CULV products the new processor can also be pared with the GS45 IGP chipset and will have around 10W TDP.
According to Digitimes’ Sources, Intel will separate the CULV platform into three levels – single-core entry-level processors consisting of ULV Celeron processor, single-core performance consisting of ULV Core 2 Solo processors and dual-core performance consisting of ULV Core 2 Duo processors.
