Microsoft today announced that Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 has hit Release Candidate (RC) status. The RC is now available to TechNet and MSDN subscribers to test prior to final release.
Microsoft plans to make RC of SP2 for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 broadly available for anyone to download and test very soon. The Service Pack 2 includes updates released with SP1 along with support for new types of hardware and emerging standards. Microsoft has posted completely list of changes that are present in Service Pack 2 for both Vista and Server 2008 on The Windows Blog.
Microsoft is planning to release SP2 for Vista and Server 2008 in the second quarter of 2009.
