Pentax today launched the new Pentax X70 megazoom digital camera with 24X optical zoom. The 12-megapixel camera offers powerful shooting features like aperture/shutter priority and metered manual modes, hardware sensor-movement shake reduction and wide-angle high quality zoom lens.

The X70 has four aspect ratio choices 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 or 1:1 and 20 scene selections. The other features on the camera are 9-point autofocus, super Macro mode, exposure control, ISO range of 50 to 6400, SDHC card support and 2.7-inch LCD screen. The camera measures 4.4” x 3.2” x 3.9” and weighs 13.8 ounces. The Pentax X70 will ship in April for $399.95.
