Apple Sends Out Emails with March 11th iPad 2 Launch Details

Apple today sent out emails informing its customers that iPad 2 will be available in stores this Friday, March 11 at 5:00 PM. The email goes as follows:

Be the first to get the next iPad. This Friday, March 11, at 5:00p.m.
The Apple Retail Store is the best place to experience iPad. Our Specialists will show you around the features, help you choose the perfect model, and set everything up just the way you like. So you’ll be up and running before you leave the store.

From the email it looks like Apple will not be taking pre-orders for iPad 2, like it did with iPhone 4 launch. This would mean iPad 2 would be available on first come first server bases. Analysts are already warning that iPad 2 might be in short supply because of very high demand, even though Apple plans to have over 2 million units ready for first week.
