LG Launches Arena Touchscreen Phone in EuropeSubmitted by lalit on March 16, 2009 - 5:40pm.
LG released Arena KM900 multimedia touchscreen handset in Europe. LG had announced earlier this month that it has received one million pre-orders worldwide for the new handset making it one of the most successful handset launch for the company. The Arena is world’s first handset that uses Dolby Mobile technology for surround sound effect using normal headphones. The other features on the handset are 3-inch 800 x 480 resolution screen, 5-megapixel camera, 8GB on-board storage, tri-band HSPA, A-GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and microSDHC card slot. The LG Arena is based on Windows Mobile OS, but like most Windows Mobile based phones it hides the OS behind S-Class 3D user interface. The S-Class 3D interface looks like iPhone’s UI and it allows users to flick between applications by turning the home screen cube like design. The LG Arena will be available in silver and black titanium in major European markets by end of March. Pricing of Arena will depend on country and carrier.
