It has been rumored for past few weeks that Apple will update its Mac Pro lineup very soon. However, AppleInsider has been told that Apple is wrapping up development of fastest Mac Pro update ever, which will ship in June and not by end of March. AppleInsider believes that Apple will keep using Xeon processors in Mac Pro lineup, as was reported by us last week when rumors about Apple’s plan to switch to Core i7-980X processor were published.

Along with the new Mac Pro, Apple also plans to introduce new 27-inch LED backlit Cinema Display. AppleInsider wrote:

“Two people familiar with the upcoming display say its been lingering in Apple’s labs for quite sometime, where it’s frequently referenced by the unique identifier/codename “K59”. The Mac maker is believed to have been waiting patiently for the cost of the larger LCD panels, which sport a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, to shed some of their premium before introducing the model to the market.”

Both the Cinema Display and the Mac Pro lineup haven’t been updated for quite sometime now and the sooner Apple updates these models the better it will be for its professional customers.
