New AMD Graphics Card Support in Mac OS X 10.6.7 Hints at Upcoming iMac UpdateSubmitted by lalit on March 24, 2011 - 8:02am.
Tonymacx86 Blog is reporting that Apple has included native graphics acceleration for some new AMD Radeon HD 5xxx and 6xxx series desktop graphics cards. Following graphics cards now have native support in Mac OS X:
Many of the above mentioned AMD graphics cards are not used in any Apple desktop, indicating that they might be used in upcoming desktop updates. It is rumored that Apple will be updating the iMac lineup with new Core i5 and i7 (Sandy Bridge) processors from Intel in April and these cards might be used in those desktops. It looks like April is going to be another interesting month for Apple customers.
