HP has officially launched the new Pavilion dv2 12.1-inch ultraportable notebook that it announced at CES 2009 in January. The dv2 is the first laptop to use AMD’s new Athlon Neo MV-40 processor along with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 graphics chips that was designed to compete against NVIDIA 9400M graphics chip. The Pavilion dv2 comes with 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 12.1-inch LED backlit LCD, 320GB hard drive, WiFi a/b/g/n, DVD burner, multi card reader, three USB ports, HDMI, VGA and Ethernet. The laptop weighs 3.95 pounds and measures 11.50” x 9.45” x 0.93”- 1.29”. You can get more information about the laptop on HP’s website. Many websites have posted reviews of the new Pavilion dv2 laptop and most of them agree that performance-wise the AMD’s Athlon Neo MV-40 processor can’t match Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors for same price range. Overall, the laptop had above average performance, but suffered from cramped keyboard and below average battery life. You can check out the reviews by clicking the links below.
