Apple Sold 108 Million iPhones, 60 Million iPod touches and 19 Million iPads as of March 2011Submitted by lalit on April 19, 2011 - 9:34pm.
Just few days back Apple filed a lawsuit against Samsung and in the filed complaint Apple revealed so interesting sales figures. Market research firm Asymco has found and posted sales numbers of iOS devices from those documents. Sales numbers of iOS devices as of March 2011 are as follows:
These numbers show that since Apple reported last quarter ending in December 2010 they have sold 18.1 million iPhones, 4.5 million iPod touch units and 4.2 million iPads. This would indicate that Apple saw 11% growth in iPhone sales over last quarter, but iPads sales declined. However, it’s very likely that Apple hasn’t included sales numbers of iPad 2, as Apple is very secretive about such information till they official announce it. We should get complete information about iPad and iPad 2 sales at tomorrow’s conference call for quarterly revenue results. It will be also interesting to see how Verizon iPhone launch has added to iPhone sales in US. Apple will provide live audio streaming of its FY 11 Second Quarter Results Conference Call at 2:00 p.m. PDT on April 20, 2011.
