MSI today announced an update to its Wind U100 netbook. The new Wind U100 Plus uses 1.6GHz Intel Atom N280 processor and it will be available in two additional colors “Rose Champagne” and “Metallic Blue”. The U100 plus will come with 10-inch LED screen (1024 x 600), up to 2GB RAM, Intel’s GMA950 integrated graphics chipset, 160GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth and 1.3-megapixel webcam.

The laptop comes standard with 3-cell battery that should last about 3 hours, but you can select the optional 6-cell battery for up to 7 hours battery life. The U100 Plus will be based on Windows XP home edition. The netbook will measure 10.2” x 7.08” x 0.74-1.2” and weigh just 2.2 pounds. No word on pricing or release date yet.
