Many companies have announced Android based tablets, but none have give concrete specifications or release date for their devices. Velocity Micro has announced both the specification and planned release date for their upcoming Android tablets called Cruz Tablet and Cruz Reader. Both the device will ship this summer priced $299.99 for Cruz Tablet and $199.99 for Cruz Reader.

Specifications for both the devices are 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, 800MHz processor, WiFi, Bluetooth, SD card slot, accelerometer, USB, 3.5mm headphone jack, speaker, microphone and user replaceable battery. On the software side the tablets will have Android 2.1, Flash 10.1 support, all Google apps and Cruz Market for app download. The difference between Cruz Tablet and Cruz Reader is that the former adds 2-megapixel webcam and docking station to the Cruz setup.
