iPad 2 Review for Business/Corporate Users

Over 70 percent of Forbes 500 companies have started using iPads in their day-to-day business and yet most of the iPad 2 reviews focused only on the consumer side. Some reviews had a passing mention of business users, but no information about why business or professional users might select the new iPad over its rivals.

ZDNet’s Jason Hiner has posted a detailed review of iPad 2 highlighting both pros and cons of joining the iPad club. According to Jason, iPad’s simplicity, enterprise software ecosystem, 10+ hour battery life and price are some of the standout features. While its bare bone email app, weak camera and Apple lock-in are some of the things that might stop a business user.

Jason Hiner concludes his iPad 2 review by saying, “However, by retaining its great battery life, simple user experience, huge catalog of apps, and low price, the iPad 2 has enough to maintain a stronghold over the nascent multitouch tablet market. Even among business professionals — many of whom use the iPad for both work and personal use — the iPad 2 remains the tablet of choice. And, judging by the early competitors so far this year, it’s not in danger of being dethroned in 2011.”
