Customers who ordered they iPad WiFi + 3G model online have started to receive their new device, even though the official Apple launch is planned for 5:00 PM today at Apple Stores around the country. Many customers waiting inline have twitted pictures of the line from various parts of the country including New York, Orlando, Georgia, Raleigh and San Francisco.

In preparation for the iPad WiFi + 3G launch both Apple and AT&T have posted detailed information about 3G service plans and guide for 3G service activation. Apple has posted a step-by-step guide for setting up 3G service. The support document gives information about data plans, payment and billing, and activation of 3G service. AT&T has also posted a PDF fact sheet giving information about iPad data plans. According to the PDF, the month is based on 30 consecutive days; for $14.99 250MB plan uses will get three alerts – at 20 percent, 10 percent and zero; access to 20,000 AT&T WiFi hotspots will be included in service and you can renew your plan anytime.
