Just one day after Sony’s executive Kazuo Hirai announced that Sony has take additional measures to avert another PlayStation network like attack, the company today revealed that user data of another 25 million customers have been stolen from Sony Online Entertainment network.

Sony said “names, addresses, emails, birth dates, phone numbers and other information of 24.6 million PC games customers was stolen from serves as well as an outdated database from 2007”.  The breach also led to theft of 10.700 direct debit records from customers in Austria, Germany, Netherlands and Spain, along with 12,700 credit and debit card numbers.

In the two attacks, Sony has lost customer data of over 100 million users. This puts a big question mark on Sony’s ability to protect customer data in future.
