PlayStation Network Finally Comes Back OnlineSubmitted by lalit on May 15, 2011 - 4:48pm.
Almost one month after, last month debacle in which Sony lost account information of over 77million PlayStation Network (PSN) customers and closed the service indefinitely to resolve the security breach, Sony today announced that they have started restoration of the PlayStation network. In a video posted (above) on PlayStation Blog, Sony’s executive Kazuo Hirai again apologized for the data breach and announced restoration of the network service. Sony has begun phased restoration by region of the services, starting with online multiplayer functionality. Some of the PSN services are now available in US, most parts of Europe and some parts of Asia. Sony is doing a slow rollout to make sure that the PSN service is restored without any glitch. To get the PSN service back you will need the latest PS3 software update, so go and download it. You can get more information about PSN restoration on PlayStation Blog.
