Rumors that HP has cancelled plans to manufacture HP Slate have been going around since April. However, vice president of personal computing systems group at HP Taiwan, Monty Wong told digitizes that HP Slate will hit the market by end of October 2010 and there will be wide range of software and applications to support HP Slate launch.

Wong also talked about Palm WebOS  and confirmed HP's plans to bring new smartphones and tablets based on the OS.HP will announce more details about WebOS based devices after the completion of Palm acquisition at the end of July.
