Leaked AT&T Slides Reveal Upcoming Android, Palm and BlackBerry Phones

Few slides showing key upcoming smartphones on AT&T network were leaked today. The most interesting phone on the slides was Palm Eos codenamed Castle. This Palm phone will be second Web OS based device after Palm Pre. Palm Eos will come to AT&T in late second half of 2009. The phone will have candybar form factor, 2.63-inch 320 x 400 touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, 4GB onboard storage, quad band GSM, dual band UMTS and Bluetooth. The Palm Eos will measure 4.37” x 2.16” x 0.41” and have 4 hours of 3G talk time.

AT&T will also launch three HTC devices and the most interesting device in HTC lineup is HTC Lancaster. It will be AT&T’s first Google Android based smartphone and it will ship in Q3 2009. The phone will feature 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, slide out QWERTY keyboard, dual band UMTS, tri band GSM, 3-megapixel camera, A-GPS, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. The HTC Lancaster will measure 4.29” x 2.12” x 0.67” and weigh 3.88 ounces. The second HTC phone “Fortress” is a Windows Mobile OS 6.1 based smartphone with 3.6-inch touchscreen, slide out QWERTY keypad, 3.2-meagpixel camera, tri band HSDPA, quad band GSM, Bluetooth, A-GPS and microSD card slot. The last HTC phone “Warhawk” is Windows Mobile 6.5 based touchscreen phone with 3.2-inch touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, dual band HSDPA, quad band GSM, A-GPS, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. The HTC Fortress will ship by June 2009 while the HTC Warhawk will ship in second half of 2009.

Lastly, the slides also revealed four upcoming BlackBerry phones Onyx, Gemini, Magnum and Pearl 3G. Onyx will feature 3.2-megapixel camera, 256MB flash memory, tri band UMTS, quad band GSM, 480 x 360 display and full QWERTY keypad. Gemini will come with fast 512 MHz+ processor, 2-megapixel camera, QVGA screen, quad band GSM/EDGE, 256MB flash memory, 128MB RAM and QWERTY keypad with trackball. As you would have guessed by name Pearl 3G would have tri band HSDPA with SureType keypad, high-resolution screen, quad band GSM, Bluetooth, A-GPS and microSD card slot. The last BlackBerry device coming to AT&T will be Magnum. It will be evolution of BlackBerry Bold portfolio with QWERTY keypad, touchscreen, tri band HSPA, quad band GSM, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. Release schedule for BlackBerry devices is yet unknown.
