SiliconRumors is reporting that Apple will add built-in 3G modem in the upcoming MacBook Air laptop allowing high-speed cellular connectivity. Their sources also hinted at new entry price range between $1,300 and $1,500 suggesting new and possibly smaller MacBook Air model.

The other two less likely rumors that SiliconRumors learned were use of SSD in standard MacBook Air configuration and inclusion of a GPS chip. These two rumors are unlikely to happen because price per gigabyte for SSD is still very high and usefulness of GPS chip in laptop is very limited.

Apple laptop related rumors have been making rounds for past few weeks. All the rumors are pointing towards update to MacBook lineup and lower price point for the laptops. WWDC will bring answers to all our questions, and yes it is very likely that we will see updated hardware for MacBook lineup.
