Apple today launched iPad in nine additional countries and like US launch in April, people have lineup outside Apple Stores to get their hands on the new iPad in Japan Australia and UK. Japan got the iPad first and there were over 1,200 buyers waiting in queue outside Apple Store in Ginza, Tokyo, for 8 AM launch. Buyers also lined-up outside Softbank store - who have exclusive partnership with Apple for iPad launch.

In Australia also the story was same, as hundreds of customers queued outside Apple Store in Sydney. The first person to get the iPad in Sydney was Rahul Koduri – who stood in line for over 30 hours to get the new device.

iPad launch in UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy is still more than three hours away, but people have started queuing up since yesterday night outside Apple Stores. Apple Store in London already has more than 200 people standing in line.

It is estimated that Apple has over one million iPad pre-orders from the nine countries and if the lines are any indication, Apple will cross three million units sold mark by the end of this month.
