Sony Ericsson Introduces Three New Phones Satio, Yari and Aino

Sony Ericsson today introduced three new cellphones aimed at middle and upper market segments. The first phone Satio is the long awaited smartphone that was codenamed “IDOU”. The main feature of the phone is its 12-megapixel camera that comes with xenon flash, video recording, ability use manual focus, SmileShutter mode, various scenic modes and geotagging. The Satio features a large 3.5-inch touchscreen with haptic feedback. The phone will support quad band GSM and tri band HSPA. It will measure 4.4” x 2.16” x 0.52” and weigh 4.44 ounces. Other features on the phone are Full HTML browser, FM radio, video streaming, Bluetooth, WiFi, A-GPS, turn-by-turn navigation and microSD card slot. The Satio will be based on Symbian S60 5th edition and it will ship in Q4 2009.

The second phone from Sony Ericsson is Yari – a motion gaming handset that features sensors hidden in its bezel to recognize body movement, together with accelerometer and gesture controls. The phone comes with 2.4-inch QVGA screen, 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, slide-out keypad, A-GPS and microSD card slot. It measures 3.93” x 1.88” x 0.61” and weighs 4.05 ounces. Battery life on the phone is 4.5 hours 3G talk time and 450 hours standby. The Yari will ship in early Q4 in two colors Achromatic Black and Cranberry White.

The last phone that Sony Ericsson introduced today is Aino – touchscreen phone with slide out numeric keypad. The Aino comes with a docking station that can control your Playstation 3 and access its media content on your Aino anywhere, anytime using the Remote Play with PS3. The Aino also features Media Home, an application that pulls content from Media Go on your PC over WiFi to your phone automatically. Users just insert their Aino into its charging stand and it automatically syncs with all the latest media content on their PC.

The Aino comes with stylish Wireless Stereo Headphone MH100 and matching Charging Stand EC100. Other hardware features on the phone are 3-inch touchscreen, 8.1-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, A-GPS and microSD card slot. The phone measures 4.09” x 1.96” x 0.61” and weighs 4.72 ounces. Battery life is 4.5 hours 3G talk time and 367 hours standby. Like other two phones, Aino will also ship in early Q4 2009.
