Kaufman Bros’ analyst Shaw Wu wrote in his research note “Other announcements we are picking up that could potentially be made are iTunes.com, a web-based version of its iTunes client, and new Mac refreshes with faster processors and graphics, namely the Mac Pro and MacBook Air, which were last refreshed in March and June 2009, respectively.”

Our sources say that both the Mac Pro and MacBook Air are due for an update and it’s very likely that the new Mac Pro will be announced at WWDC along with new LED backlit displays. As for MacBook Air the laptop might get an update similar to 13-inch MacBook Pro where Apple continued to use older Core 2 Duo processor, but with a newer NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card.

When it came to iTunes.com our sources had no information about such a launch. They said Apple is definitely working on a cloud based iTunes service, but nothing related to that will be announced at WWDC. Steve Jobs will kick off WWDC 2010 with keynote address on June 7th and we will be doing live coverage of the event on live.techztalk.com, join us on June 7th at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST.
