Along with tablets and smartphones, Asus also introduced new UX Series notebook that it says draws inspiration from luxury timepieces, but from the look of it the notebook is a direct rip-off of MacBook Air design. In fact, in one of the slides Asus even calls it Aluminum Unibody design. The UX21 measures 17mm (0.67-inch) at its thickest and features 2nd generation Intel Core i7 processor, SATA 6Gb/s Solid State drives and Instant On feature.

Asus UX21 weighs 1.1kg (2.4 pounds) and has a 12-inch screen. Asus has even copied Apple’s glass touchpad design, but have used all metal keyboard keys. Other features include USB 3.0 support and up to 7 hours battery life. No word yet on release date or price.  Check out the hands on video posted by engadget below.
