Supply of Mac mini desktops have been very constrained for past two week according to AppleInsider. The website claims that Apple is preparing to introduce new Mac mini models that will act as a harbinger for some new I/O technology on the Mac (mostly HDMI port). According to AppleInsider they have verified shortage four times with various source indicating the update will be very soon The website wrote:
Though Mac mini desktops are available in all the Apple store we check, but it looks like the supply is limited. Also one of our sources working at third party Apple retailer suggested that we should wait if we are planning to by new desktop till at least WWDC. We believe like MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro, the Mac mini will also get processor speed bump and new 320M graphics. Let await and see what Steve announce at the WWDC keynote. We will be doing live coverage of the keynote on 7th June at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST. Join use on live.techztalk.com.
