Apple has started shipping the new iPhone 4 pre-orders on Sunday. Many customers have received shipment notifications from Apple informing them that their orders will be delivered on June 24th by 4:40 PM. AppleInsider has posted image of both the shipment notification and FedEx tracking showing that some orders are shipping directly from Lantau Island, Hong Kong, the FedEx shipping site at Hong Kong International Airport.

There are also reports that Apple and AT&T have cancelled some pre-orders. Few customers have received email from either AT&T or Apple stating that their iPhone orders have been cancelled because authorization process for their iPhone order can’t be completed.

Gizmodo has posted an email from one of their reader claiming to be an AT&T rep saying that the “cancellations are just of extra pre-orders, and no one’s actually out a new iPhone. The people who received the emails received them because they hit the submit button too many times.” Submitting multiple numbers of pre-orders.

In other iPhone 4 related news, Best Buy inventory list shows that limited quantity of White iPhone 4 will be available on launch.
