Verizon DROID X Launch a SelloutSubmitted by lalit on July 15, 2010 - 9:01pm.
Verizon and Motorola announced that DROID X will be available online and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores starting today. The new DROID X by Motorola features 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 3G Mobile HotSpot capabilities, 720p video recording, 8GB onboard memory, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and microSD card slot (comes with 16GB card). As a promotion, Verizon will also be offering 32GB SanDisk microSDHC card for $99 when purchased along with the new DROID X or for $149.99 when purchased separately. Verizon DRIOD X is available now for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. DROID X customers will need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan (beginning at $39.99 monthly access) and an Email and Web for Smartphone plan (beginning at $29.99 for unlimited monthly access). Customers can add the optional 3G Mobile HotSpot service to their DROID X for $20 per month. Initial reports from today’s DROID X launch suggest that most Verizon stores are selling out of the Motorola DROID X handsets and some customers are having activations issues. Verizon is reporting that hundreds of customers lined up outside two Verizon stores in Columbia, Md. and Frisco, Texas for a special midnight launch to be among the first to purchase Verizon’s new Droid X. Some other Verizon stores also had lines today morning, but they were relatively smaller. We have added a video below posted by Verizon showcasing Motorola Droid X launch.
