After many reports about screen problems with the new Droid X handset were posted online Verizon today made an official statement about the display problems. Some Droid users were seeing vertical banding and flickering on the screens, and few of them even posted comments and video (added below) online showing the problem. The statement issued by Verizon says:

Verizon and Motorola are replacing Droid X handsets with display problems and if you have one go to Verizon store to get a replacement phone.
