Dell today launched a new 24-inch widescreen LCD display S2409W. Normally the widescreen displays for computers have an aseptic ratio of 16:10, the new Dell’s display feature a wider 16:9 aseptic ratio. The new display has 1920 x 1080 resolution that perfectly matches with 1080p output of high definition videos. The S2409W has 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time and 85 percent NTSC color range. The video inputs on the display include HDMI, DVI and VGA. The HDMI input will allow direct video inputs from movie players (DVD player and Blu-ray player) and gaming consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3). The S2409W is available now for just $379 on Dell’s website.
