In the release note of iPhone software 2.0.1, Apple didn’t give any information about the improvements that the update brought. But iPhone users have observed significant improvement in speed and stability of the software. In the video above Slash Gear notes that the website load time over WiFi and 3G has improvement with the new software. Other improvements includes:

  • The keyboard lag is gone
  • Load time for applications has also reduced
  • Contacts are more responsive
  • iPhone backup on iTunes is faster
  • 3G reception is better
  • Overall the software is more responsive

It a good thing that Apple has fixed some of the problem, but two functions voice activated dialing and copy/paste, that I want for my iPhone are still missing. I hope Apple will add at least one of them in software update 2.1.
