T-Mobile Launches 3G Network in Las Vegas

T-Mobile announced today the continued expansion of its 3G network with addition of Las Vegas. T-mobile started its 3G network implementation in May with launch of 3G network in New York City. T-Mobile has invested $37.5 million in Las Vegas to launch 3G network in the city. The 3G network in Las Vegas will support voice and data services for the handsets offered by T-mobile. “Customers in Las Vegas are already accustomed to reliable and robust service from T-Mobile, which gets even better with this additional network availability,” Neville Ray Senior vice president engineering operations, T-Mobile said. “This investment in today’s 3G network also sets the foundation to help customers stay closer to their family and friends in new and exciting ways.”
T-mobile has planned in July to start 3G services in top 27 markets by October 1st, but now the company plans to expand its 3G network to at least 20 additional markets by end of 2008. Along with 3G service roll out, T-Mobile will continue building T-Mobile HotSpot WiFi network for addition high-speed Internet access.
