Apple has started taking orders for new Mac Pro desktops featuring Intel’s new Xeon processors and ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card. Three base configurations are available with starting price of $2,499 giving you a quad core 2.8GHz Xeon Nehalem processor, 3GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, SuperDrive, and 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5700. The second 8-core model comes with two 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Xeon Westmere processors, 6GB RAM, 1TB hard drive and 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5770 for $3,499. The third 12-core model comes with two 2.66GHz 6-core Intel Xeon processors, 6GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, SuperDrive and 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics for $4,999.
