Onkyo Introduces TX-NR807 AV Receiver With Internet Radio And DLNA Streaming SupportSubmitted by lalit on August 10, 2009 - 5:13pm.
Onkyo today introduced TX-NR807, its first AV receiver that supports Internet radio services like Pandora, Rhapsody and Sirius streaming Internet radio. The new receiver also supports DLNA 1.5 consumer electronics interoperability specification that allows users to play media files stored on their networked PCs. The Onkyo TX-NR807 connects to Internet or home network via a rear panel Ethernet port. Hardware features on the TX-NR807 include THX Select2 plus support, Audyssey DSX soundstage extension, Dolby Pro Logic IIz, Faroudja DCDi Cinema processor and 135-watts-per-channel output. The above features combine to give 1080p video upscaling, and support for Dolby, DTS, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The receiver also includes Audssey MultiEQ room calibration, Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ processing. Along with the TX-NR807, Onkyo also introduced TX-SR707 that has almost the same feature list, except it has 100-watts-per-channel output and it doesn’t support network capabilities. The Onkyo TX-NR807 is available now for suggested retail price of $1,099 and the TX-SR707 is also available now for suggested retail price of $899.
