Canon today confirmed the rumored August 26 press event for launch of the new cameras. Canon sent invitations around Europe titled “Take Stories Press Event” for an event on August 26, 10AM in Brussels, Belgium. It is rumored that Canon will introduce the new EOS 60D digital SLR along with other cameras including Powershot G12, S95, SX30 and SX130. It is also rumored that Canon is working on a G11 sized camera that will feature a DSLR sized sensor and interchangeable lens, but will the new camera be introduced on August 26th is yet not known.
