Lenovo Introduces IdeaCentre Q Compact Home Entertainment PCSubmitted by lalit on August 16, 2009 - 2:16pm.
Lenovo has introduced the new IdeaCentre Q Series compact desktop designed to fit anywhere in you home as home entertainment PC. The Q700 is available with 2.5GHz Intel Pentium E5200 processor, 4GB DDR2 RAM, integrated Intel GMA X4500 graphics, up to 640GB hard drive, 4-in-1 media card reader, WiFi b/g and TV tuner in top of the line model. The starting price of Q700 is $499 and for that price you get 320GB hard drive, no WiFi and no TV tuner. The desktop measures 7.87” x 9.84” x 2.36”, which is larger than both Mac mini and Dell Studio Hybrid. It has four USB port, microphone jack, headphone jack, one FireWire, one eSATA port, Ethernet, VGA and HDMI. The Q700 will be based on Windows Vista Home Premium 64 with Media Center support. Lenovo promises that it will soon launch models with Intel Core 2 Quad chips, DDR3 memory and full HD support for gaming. That would make this computer interesting because underpowered processor and graphics chipset are the two major problems with small form factor desktops. The IdeaCentre Q700 is shipping now and you can get more information about the desktop on Lenovo’s website.
