Apple Testing Next-Gen iPod touch, iPad and New Unknown ProductSubmitted by lalit on August 19, 2010 - 1:52pm.
AppleInsider is reporting that the iOS 4.1 beta released to the developers shows that Apple is testing new iPod touch, iPad and an ‘unknown’ product. AppleInsider has been relatively accurate with these kind of Apple news. The website wrote: According to people familiar with the matter, the latest beta of iOS 4.1, due to ship in the coming weeks, includes three new "Configuration Descriptors" within its USB configuration files -- all of which pertain to devices that list "Apple, Inc." as their "manufacturer" -- as can be seen in the screenshot below. As AppleInsider points out the first two products are very obvious, Apple will update iPod touch in September and iPad update will come by early next year. The third unknown product is very interesting as it can either be the new Apple TV (iTV) or the 7-inch iPad with front facing camera. We should find out more about upcoming Apple products in September.
