Mobile phone market leader Nokia today joined the PC world by announcing Nokia Booklet 3G netbook with 12 hours battery life. Booklet 3G has aluminum chassis, it weighs 2.75 pounds and is about 0.8-inch thick. The Windows 7 powered netbook uses Intel Atom processor and offers connectivity options like 3G/HSPA and WiFi. The Booklet 3G comes with a 10-inch HD ready display, HDMI port for HD video out, a front facing camera, Bluetooth, A-GPS, USB and SD card slot. It will come loaded with Nokia’s Ovi services like online music store and Ovi Maps. “A growing number of people want the computing power of a PC with the full benefits of mobility,” said Kai Oistamo, Nokia’s Executive Vice President for Devices. “We are in the business of connecting people and the Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us. Nokia has a long and rich heritage in mobility and with the outstanding battery life, premium design and all day, always on connectivity, we will create something quite compelling.
