At IFA, Sharp introduced their new super slim XS1 Aquos LCD HDTV that is just 23mm thick (not nearly as thin as Sony’s ZX1). The XS1 will be available in 52-inch and 65-inch size with full HD resolution, 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 100Hz motion processing and detachable speakers. Sharp also launched the new D65E lineup that will come in range of 32-inch to 52-inch models and will feature 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Sharp claims that the new D65E series is designed with environment friendliness in mind. The price for the new HDTVs will range from Euro 899 ($1328) to Euro 2,299 ($3,400). Along with new HDTVs sharp also launched Blu-ray player BD-HP21H that will support Blu-ray profile 1.1 and will feature a quick start mode. All the new Sharp products are due in UK for October release. FeedBurner |
