iFixDirect has obtained a white front cover, which they claim is for next generation iPod touch. Rumors are like the iPad, the iPod touch will also get a white model that will have the same steel back as the black iPod touch model, but with white front glass. Overall, Apple won’t change much with the current iPod touch design and it might not even get major spec bump like A5 processor or more RAM.

Apple is currently focused on meeting the growing iPad 2 demand and the expected iPhone 5 demand, both of which will be based on A5 processor. It is believed that Apple could sell more than 35 million iPhone 5 and iPad 2 units combined in Q4 2011. Making it almost impossible for Apple to meet the A5 processor requirements on other iOS based devices like iPod touch and Apple TV, unless Apple adds another A5 processor supplier like TSMC.
