Olympus today introduced their new entry-level digital SLR E-600 that comes with same 12.3-megapixel sensor found on E-620. But drops features like backlighting for buttons, aspect mask control and double-shot exposure, while lowering number of art filters and live visual effects (to just three) to bring the price down by $100 when compared to higher-end E620. The E-600 comes with swiveling 2.7-inch LCD screen, 7-point autofocus, ISO range of 100 to 3,200, image stabilization and 4 frames-per-second continuous shooting mode. The camera doesn’t support more common SD card, but come with CF, UDMA and xD storage card options. Olympus will ship E-600 in November for $599.99 with 14-42mm F3.5/5.6 Zuiko zoom lens.
